The Hide Out! - Escape C.A.P. (15 Days)

A journey into Far Eastern Nepal and then a 3 day Trek-in along a 3,000m
Rhododendron Jungle ridge, past holy lakes and through small villages
with Makalu (8,463m) to the N/N/E and Kanchenjunga (8,598m) to the
N/E. Descending down in to the Tropical Tamor Valley and into
. There we use the retreat as a base
to venture out into the local villages and jungles to meet
people, see new things, learn some crafts and discover
what is all about.

The Mountain Temple (18 Days)

After leaving we start out on a 4 Day trek to Pathibhara’s
Mountain Temple, which is Eastern Nepal’s most sacred temple.
Located at the top of a 3,795m jungle peak the temple looks
out over the deep valleys and the Kanchenjunga Himalayas.
It is a true place of the gods! Our route takes us through
small villages, cardamom plantation and
jungles before reaching the summit.

Green School Builders (22 Days)

Using as our base we focus on the development of the
poorest of poor schools the ‘Bal Sikcha’ Schools. These schools are usually
located in old swept out cattle sheds or farmers stores which have been
donated to the school by the community. We work as part of the team by
helping improving the conditions of the buildings by replacing rotten
support pillars, building bamboo and stone walls adding doors and
shutters, making concrete floors, installing tin roofs, burning pits
and also providing teaching aides, supplies for the school and
kids, Desk and bench sets and blackboards. Local building
methods are used with team members being exposed to
all aspects of the project from project management and
budgeting to labour duties & craft work. It’s a great
opportunity to meet the people and see their
cultures and lives, learn new skills
and give something back.

Adventure Development Programs (32 Days)

A combination of Adventure / Cultures & Crafts / Hillside Life / 3 Treks / School
Development Project / New Skills & Experiences / as well as time to relax,
fish, swim, read, listen to music… We enter the hills by trek and spend
a few days to relax and acclimatise before starting the project section.
The project section is then split to allow us to travel up the Mewa
river valley to see a 140m Vertical drop jungle waterfall
returning to finish the project then some relaxation
and preparation for Pathibhara’s Mountain
Temple Trek. Learn, experience and see what
is all about.
